Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use accentforgecoaching.com or buy from Accent Forge. Accent Forge is run by Ryan Chappell in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Contact: baseline@accentforgecoaching.com.

Who can use Accent Forge

Accent Forge services are for people aged 18 or older. If you are under 18, please do not buy or submit recordings.

What you can buy

• Baseline: a personal review of a recording you submit, with ratings on core sounds and rhythm patterns and a priority list.
• Baseline + Practice: the Baseline plus a personal video walkthrough, a practice guide and a period of Practice Studio access, as described on the Baseline page at the time you buy.
• Baseline + Coaching: a live Baseline session and weekly coaching sessions (five in total, over five to seven weeks), with 6 months of Practice Studio access.
• Corporate programs: delivered under a written proposal that you accept.
• Heteronym Tool: a free practice tool.

Prices, payment and renewals

Prices are shown in US dollars. Baseline, Baseline + Practice and Baseline + Coaching are one time payments and nothing renews automatically. Practice Studio plans bought after your included access ends are subscriptions: they renew each month or year until you cancel, and you can cancel any time in your PayPal account. Payments are handled by PayPal, and bookings by TidyCal. I never see your card number.

Upgrades and Practice Studio plans

If you upgrade to a higher tier within 30 days of receiving your Baseline, the amount you already paid counts toward the new price. Upgrade credit applies once and cannot be combined with other offers. Practice Studio plans are optional and are billed through PayPal.

Delivery

Baseline reports are delivered by email within 3 days (Baseline) or 5 days (Baseline + Practice) of me receiving a usable recording. If your recording cannot be reviewed, I will ask you to record again at no charge, and the delivery time starts from the new recording.

Practice Studio access starts when I set it up for you and ends automatically after the period stated at purchase: 2 months for Baseline + Practice and 6 months for Baseline + Coaching. For coaching, the 6 months starts at your first session.

Sessions

Live sessions are held online. You can reschedule with at least 6 hours notice. A session cancelled with less notice, or missed, counts as used. Packages are personal and cannot be transferred or shared. See the Refund Policy for late cancellations.

No guaranteed results

Progress depends on practice, starting point and many things outside my control. I do not guarantee a specific result, test score, job outcome or change in your accent.

Educational service, not medical care

Accent Forge provides educational coaching. It is not speech language pathology, therapy or medical advice. Having an accent is not a disorder. If you are concerned about a speech or hearing condition, please see a qualified professional.

Your recordings

When you submit a recording, you allow me to listen to it, analyze it and use it to prepare your Baseline and coaching. I will not publish your recording or your report, or use them in marketing, without your written permission. I keep recordings until you ask me to delete them, as explained in the Privacy Policy.

Using the materials

Reports, videos, guides, practice materials and the Heteronym Tool are for your personal use. Please do not copy, resell or share them publicly.

Reviews and testimonials

If you choose to leave a review or testimonial, you allow me to display it with the name or handle you provide.

Limits of liability

Accent Forge is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, my total responsibility to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the service involved. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be waived.

Changes

I may update these terms. The version on this page when you buy is the one that applies to your purchase.
